It’s “Smooth Sailing” at the Final Day of 2011 CP Con in Mexico!

We can’t believe we have reached the final day of 2011 CP Con in Riviera Maya, Mexico!  Cruise Planners/American is running “Full Speed Ahead” as we prepare to close out another successful event celebrating who we are and what we do best – sell unforgettable vacations for our clients!

Hundreds of CP advisors once again split their time between the many breakout sessions that kicked off day 3 of CP Con.  The overall theme today centered on how to enhance the home-based business of land and cruise travel by taking advantage of social media tools, networking possibilities and creating important relationships with your local BDM representative! Our own VP of Information Technology Brian Shultz also gave the CP family a crash course on all our tech tools from eConnect to eREZ mobile and Crusitiude Finder, an iPhone app for clients that is branded for every Cruise Planners advisor!

Group cruises equal big commissions for Cruise Planners, and Shawna Hoffman shared her ideas on how they can take advantage of group cruises, while also knowing how to manage a group cruise and make it a successful event.

Rules # 1 – connect with cruise line group coordinators and directors.

Rule # 2 – make sure you know all the convention space on the ship.

Rule # 3 - know in advance if the ship is ready for your event…always be early for every get together…wear your name tag and be sure to greet everyone.

Wait, that was definitely more than just three rules!

Don’t be afraid of social media because the team at Process Peak is here to help and guide us all through it.  By explaining various social media platforms, CP advisors got a firsthand look on how they can expand their business, grow their prospective database and leverage their current customers by getting connected! Even better, Cruise Planners has developed a program to help enhance CP Advisors’ Facebook pages without even breaking a sweat.

Michael Consoli, CP Millionaire Club member and Rock Star, had one question and one question only for the CP family: What can BDM’s do for you? From marketing ideas to taking advantage of co-op funds for advertising opportunities, the goal is always to get new clients and earn that commission!  Consoli said the best way to connect with a BDM and build a relationship is to know who the reps are.  Don’t be shy! Make an appointment to talk about ideas on how to grow your business. How can you track them down, you ask?  Use CPU, of course! The best tool ever created by Cruise Planners Home Office!

So it’s here – the end of another convention. Michelle Fee and Vicky Garcia ended the day by handing awards to top selling CP advisors and announcing the 2012 CP Cares initiative – Change the World week.  For one week in April, CP Home Office and advisors around the country will volunteer in the organization of their choice.

And finally, drum roll please, the location of 2012 CP Con…aboard the CELEBRITY REFLECTION!!!

Signing off from Mexico!  Thanks again El Dorado Royale and the wonderful team at American Express Vacation. OLE!
