Cruise Planners - American Express Travel, the nation’s largest home-based travel agent franchise network in the cruise industry, has once again been recognized by Travel Weekly, winning nine coveted Magellan Awards for marketing, training and community programming. The awards honor the best in the travel industry and are bestowed upon travel organizations that represent the highest standards of excellence in hospitality.

Cruise Planners received top honors with Gold Magellan Awards for  their marketing efforts including the newly enhanced agent websites featuring My Trips, Destination Weddings & Events by Cruise Planners, and the What's On Your Bucket List campaign.

The company also received Gold Magellan Awards for its Cruise Planners University education and training program and its community involvement program, CPCares featuring the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

In addition to gold awards, the company received four Silver Magellan Awards in the marketing category for their Adventures-Family Travel, World’s Largest Cruise Event and These Shoes campaigns as well as Cruise Planner Magazine, the company’s official magazine. The Magellan Awards are judged and overseen by a one-of-a-kind panel of top travel professionals representing the best names and most accomplished leaders from the industry.   In determining winners, entries do not compete with one another, instead they are judged against a standard of excellence based on the long experience of Travel Weekly. To uphold this high standard of excellence, a category may have multiple winners, or may have no winners at all.
