CRUISE PLANNERS HONORED WITH ELEVEN TRAVEL WEEKLY MAGELLAN AWARDS

Cruise Planners received the most awards within the host/franchise category demonstrating commitment to travel professionals and innovation 

Cruise Planners–American Express Travel, the nation’s largest home-based travel agent franchise network in the travel industry, has once again been recognized by Travel Weekly, earning 11 coveted Magellan Awards for innovation, marketing and promotional videos. The awards honor the best in the travel industry and are bestowed upon travel organizations, such as Cruise Planners, representing the highest standards of excellence in hospitality.
 
“This year, we focused our marketing efforts on providing Cruise Planner travel advisors with tools supporting digital access, driving social media engagement and designing mobile applications that positively affect sales,” said Michelle Fee, CEO and co-founder of Cruise Planners–American Express Travel. “After 20 years, our in-house technology and marketing departments continue to be an extension of each of our home-based travel advisors’ small businesses. These 11 new Magellan Awards are a testament to the creative, unique and eye-catching marketing materials, campaigns and programs we produce here at Home Office.”

Cruise Planners received top honors with Gold Magellan Awards for its innovative marketing efforts including a new mobile application, CP Social platform and World’s Largest Cruise Event campaign. In addition to six gold awards, the company received five Silver Magellan Awards in the innovation and marketing categories for its Email Builder, Cruise Watcher and Cruise Planner Magazine, the company’s official magazine.

The Magellan Awards are judged and overseen by a one-of-a-kind panel of top travel professionals representing the best names and most accomplished leaders from the industry.   In determining winners, entries do not compete with one another. Instead they are judged against a standard of excellence based on the long experience of Travel Weekly. To uphold this high standard of excellence, a category may have multiple winners, or may have no winners at all.
