Cruise Planners goes all out for WLCN '08

July 20th 2015
CORAL SPRINGS, FL – (September 15, 2008) – Cruise Planners is going all out for CLIA’s World’s Largest Cruise Night (WLCN) by extending the cruise industry’s biggest night of the year into a week-long sales event, October 4-10, 2008, one week earlier than the CLIA sponsored event. Working in close concert with several top cruise lines, Cruise Planners agents will offer consumers a series of special offers and incentives plus daily prizes and a chance to win one of four free cruises to spur WLCN bookings. Participating cruise lines include Carnival, Princess, NCL, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Azamara, Holland America and Oceania Cruises.

“With all the great offers and support we’ve received from our cruise line partners, one night of WLCN is just not enough for us this year,” said Michelle Fee, CEO of Cruise Planners. “In fact, our agents have been planning special WLCN sales events at bookstores, coffee shops and other local businesses, while also using the broad range of WLCN-themed marketing tools we’ve created to get their clients excited about WLCN for weeks. We’re putting a lot into this year’s WLCN and looking forward to strong results.”

Marketing tools produced by Cruise Planners to help member agents maximize WLCN sales run the gamut, from promotional flyers, postcards and e-postcards, to press releases and a 16-page event brochure, featuring a sweepstakes offering new prizes every day, plus a grand prize at the end of the week. Each brochure features a promo number unique to each Cruise Planners agent and each of their customers. To enter, customers are directed to visit their agent’s Web site where they must enter their current contact information, including a valid email address. This creates incremental e-marketing opportunities for Cruise Planners agents, while also helping to ensure that every agent’s client database is clean.

For agents interested in leveraging the sweepstakes to grow their client database, Cruise Planners is providing additional brochures with “new client” promo numbers unique to each agent. Contact entry information submitted by each new client is provided exclusively to the corresponding agent, providing agents with a nice lead-generation tool for future marketing opportunities.

All marketing tools can be customized by individual Cruise Planners agents, adding the type of personal touch that can be the difference in closing a sale. The Cruise Planners marketing services team also provides member agents with direct marketing support. Graphic design, copywriting and other forms of marketing assistance are provided on an ongoing basis.

“Driving traffic to our agents’ Web sites and arming them with personalized, professional marketing tools are part of our everyday commitment to help our agents succeed in growing their franchises,” Fee added. “We kick things up a notch for WLCN, and we’re always there to support our agents 100%.”
