At the same time San Juan, the capital of the commonwealth, is a big city with a bustling business district, glitzy resorts and casinos, as well as one of the most stunning examples of colonial life in the Western world. San Juan Attractions When you're in San Juan, don't miss the opportunity to witness the pinnacle of natural beauty by exploring Puerto Rico's El Yunque Rain Forest. It features more than 240 species of trees, hundreds of miniature orchids, and what was once believed to be the Fountain of Youth. San Juan Activities See Baño Grande, a natural swimming pool. Then take a walk on Camitillo Trail and look for the artificial nest of the Puerto Rican parrot and the flora and fauna of the Palo Colorado forest Explore Old San Juan, the second-oldest European settlement in the New World. 2	Saturday, 10/25/25	About Basseterre Authentic Caribbean foods at Basseterre, and a peaceful setting virtually untouched by tourism are among St Kitts most enchanting features. For breathtaking views, visit Brimstone Hill Fort, an impressive construction atop Mt Liamuiga that is one of the wonders of the Caribbean. Basseterre Attractions Whether you're a history buff or just want to take in the scenery, be sure to visit the 350-year-old estate, Romney Manor, once owned by a British earl. The beautiful grounds include magnificent gardens, exotic plants and an amazing African Saman tree, which covers half an acre and is believed to be as old as the estate itself. Basseterre Activities Explore Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. Climb to the top of the main hill to take in amazing views of St. Eustatius and Sandy Point Town. Walk through Independence Square. Now a small public park, it was built in 1790 for slave auctions and council meetings. Visit St. George's Cathedral. While originally christened Notre Dame in 1670 by the French, it was destroyed more than once and was most recently rebuilt in 1869 in typical Georgian style. 3	Sunday, 10/26/25	About St. John's The skyline of St. John's, the capital and largest city of Antigua and Barbuda, is dominated by the magnificently evocative white baroque towers of St. John's Cathedral. Built in 1845, the church is now in its third incarnation, as earthquakes in 1683 and in 1745 destroyed the previous structures. The towers are the first sight of Antigua for about half of the island's visitors each year, many of whom arrive by boat. With its recently completed cruise ship dock and several hotels, St. John's is a lively hub for shopping and dining. St. John's Attractions Discover Antigua's past at Nelson's Dockyard, a restored working dockyard. In this tropical Colonial Williamsburg, you can visit many of the original colonial buildings and get a real feel for the history of the place. St. John's Activities Sail aboard a catamaran and take in a few hours of breathtaking scenery. You'll depart for the northwest coast of Antigua to a specially selected anchorage, where you'll enjoy snorkeling and water skiing. Then move on to a beautiful sandy beach for more fun in the water.
