About Willemstad
Dutch settlers came here in the 1630s, about the same time they sailed through the Verazzano Narrows to Manhattan, bringing with them original red-tile roofs, first used on the trade ships as ballast and later incorporated into the architecture of Willemstad. Much of the original colonial structures remain, but this historic city is constantly reinventing itself and the government monument foundation is always busy restoring buildings in one urban neighborhood or another. The salty air causes what is called "wall cancer" which causes the ancient abodes to continually crumble over time. The city is cut in two by Santa Anna Bay. On one side is Punda (the point)crammed with shops, restaurants, monuments, and markets and a new museum retracing its colorful history. And on the other side is Otrobanda (literally meaning the "other side"), with lots of narrow, winding streets and alleyways (called "steekjes" in Dutch), full of private homes notable for their picturesque gables and Dutch-influenced designs. In recent years the ongoing regeneration of Otrobanda has been apparent, marked by a surge in development of new hotels, restaurants, and shops; the rebirth, concentrated near the waterfront, was spearheaded by the creation of the elaborate Kura Hulanda complex. There are three ways to cross the bay: by car over the Juliana Bridge; by foot over the Queen Emma pontoon bridge (locally called "The Swinging Old Lady"); or by free ferry, which runs when the pontoon bridge is swung open for passing ships. All the major hotels outside town offer free shuttle service to town once or twice daily. Shuttles coming from the Otrobanda side leave you at Riffort. From here it's a short walk north to the foot of the pontoon bridge. Shuttles coming from the Punda side leave you near the main entrance to Ft. Amsterdam.

About Bocas Del Toro
The islands offer the visitor a great diversity of attractions and natural environments, uncommon to other regions of our continent: luxurious rain forests with an abundance of fauna and flora, sunny islands, beaches that compete with the Caribbean best, coral reefs in crystal clear water, mangrove islets in a lake-like scenery, guaymi indian villages and a national marine park that protects examples of the ecosystems and natural resources coexisting within the Archipelago boundaries, as a tribute to our future generations.
Bocas Del Toro Attractions
Getting to the Zapatillas Keys can be a dicey proposition when a strong north wind is blowing, but if the weather is cooperating, these two islands are gems. Part of the Bastimientos Island National Marine Park, they have beautiful, white-sand beaches and clear, shallow, snorkel-perfect water. (If you want to escape the heat, the adjacent forest offers shade.) Just don't expect a crowd; the only residents are park rangers.

About San Andres Island
San Andres is 700 km from the Colombian mainland, a miniature paradise with influences from England and Spain, pirates and corsairs, blended into a rich culture which moves to the beat of reggae. Perfect beaches, excellent water-sports, diving and ecotourism.
Your first glimpse of San Andres island is the sea of seven colors, home to many-hued fish and coral, working their magic on the visitor. After an afternoon on the beach or shopping duty-free, night falls and the air is alive with music and dancing.
San Andres Island Attractions
On the island's northern tip lies the main town and commercial center, known by the same name as the island. San Andres Town is surrounded by beaches, with small hotels lining the waterfront. Being a duty-free zone, the town often gets crowded with Colombian shoppers who come from the mainland looking for foreign-made goods at duty-free prices. To reach the town from the tender landing requires an approximate 20-minute taxi ride. However, it is not uncommon for drivers to choose the longer way around the island for a higher fare. From the downtown waterfront, boats offer trips to Johnny Cay, a tiny island just a stone's throw across from town and known for its powdery white sand beach and rustic, laid-back atmosphere.
San Andres Island Activities
Under a blue sky that blends in with the sea of seven colors, San Andres mixes relaxation with any number of activities to let you experience the intensity of the lifestyle of the islanders:
Island tour on a motorbike or golf-cart.
Night-life in the bar, partying on the beach
Sun and sand.
Good-food tour.
Diving and snorkeling in La Piscinita, West View and El Cove.
Launch trip to the Aquarium, Haynes Cay and then Johnny Cay.
Shopping in the duty-free area to the north.
Bird-watching and ecotourism.
Water sports: windsurf, kite-surfing, jet skiing.

About Roatan
The Bay Islands, just north of the Caribbean coast of Honduras, have a long and colorful history. The earliest Indian inhabitants are thought to have traded with the Maya of Yucatan. Roatan is the largest of the islands with small towns and fishing villages built along the waters edge. Snorkeling and diving is at its best here. You´ll find beautiful palm-fringed beaches and miles of off-shore coral reef inhabited by brilliantly colored fish and multicolored gardens of aquatic plants.
Roatan Attractions
There are fine restaurants, bars and attractions, such as Butterfly Park, Marble Hill Farms, the Iguana Farm and Carambola Gardens. But best of all, make sure to spend time exploring some of the most pure and untouched beaches in the Caribbean. It's all there for you to enjoy - at your own leisurely pace, of course.
Roatan Activities
Wander through Carambola Botanical Gardens in Sandy Bay and take in the sights and scents surrounding you. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of powder-white sand beaches and crystal-turquoise water.

About Costa Maya
Beginning where the Mayan Riviera ends, the Costa Maya stretches along the coastline up to Belize. The Costa Maya is the last remaining section of coastal properties yet to be exploited and there are acres of coastal land with absolutely no development. The odd fishing village spots the landscape but not much beyond that. Flying along the coastline you encounter numerous cenotes and you can still see the outlines and impressions of villages that were there centuries ago.
Costa Maya Attractions
Experience the ancient Mayan City of Chacchoben. Largely unexplored until 1999, this Mayan site dates back to 360 A.D. when it played an important role in the distribution of such precious items as wood, jade and exotic birds.
Costa Maya Activities
Check out the Mayan Pavilion Park, which has everything: Mayan handicraft centers, swim-up bars, great traditional restaurants, saltwater pools, a 650-seat amphitheater, Mayan art and architecture, amazing water sports and great shopping. For more adventures, explore the many surrounding Mayan cities like Chinchorro, Chacchoben, Bacalar, Chetumal and more. Take a break, relax and soak up the famous Mayan sun at Uvero Beach, complete with beach chairs, bar, restaurant, paddle boats, snorkeling and so much more. Take an exciting Unimog excursion right through the heart of the jungle.

About Cozumel
The crystal clear water surrounding Cozumel makes it a favorite for divers and sun-seekers from around the world. Found on the Yucatan peninsula, it is the largest of Mexico's islands and steeped in history, tracing Mayan descendants from 300 A.D. In town, there is shopping for local crafts and dining in colorful restaurants.
Cozumel Attractions
Don't miss the opportunity to explore the ruins of the ancient Mayan city of Tulúm, majestically perched above the turquoise Caribbean. The site was occupied as far back as 600 A.D. However, it was most densely populated around 1200 A.D. You will be struck by the pyramid-shaped El Castillo, which dominates the city from atop a forty-foot cliff. The nearby Temple of the Descending God provides equally excellent insight into the architecture of the Mayan people, who gained considerable achievements in the arts and sciences, only to decline and vanish for no apparent reason.
Cozumel Activities
Explore the underwater world of Chankanaab on a deep-sea adventure aboard the Atlantis Submarine.
Discover what makes a dolphin so magical as you play and interact with these amazing creatures in Chankanaab National Marine Park.
Sit back, relax, and bury your toes in the white sand of Playa del Sol beach in Cozumel. This destination offers all the food, drinks and activities you can imagine, including relaxing massages on the beach.
Take a Jeep-safari adventure through the tropical landscape of Cozumel's east side. Ride through sand dunes and trails for an unforgettable experience.
Join the Fiesta party boat for a fun-filled trip to Playa del Sol, with margaritas, rum punch and a live band setting the mood for fun.
Helmet dive in Chankanaab and trek around coral reefs to see the abundant marine life up close.

About Grand Cayman
Discovered by Columbus in 1503, these islands are a popular resort and British Crown Colony that still provides travelers with unspoiled beauty. As a destination known for its superb diving opportunites, the Caymans are home to unforgettable ship- wrecks, brilliantly colored fish and Caribbean-clear water.
Grand Cayman Attractions
Experience a once-in-a-lifetime adventure: snorkeling with stingrays at Stingray City Sandbar. These relatively tame creatures will swim right into your arms and eat from your hand. They have velvety soft skin and love to have their bellies rubbed. Despite their frightening name, they are very gentle and won't hurt you as long as you stay away from their tails.
Grand Cayman Activities
The Blow Holes are an amazing natural wonder. These geologic formations on Grand Cayman provide a wonderful photo opportunity. Waves crash on to rocks, forcing water into caverns and sending geysers shooting up through the ironshore.
Visit Bodden Town, the Island's original south-shore capital. Here you'll find an old cemetery on the shore side of the road. Graves with A-frame structures are said to contain the remains of pirates. There are also the ruins of a fort and a wall erected by slaves in the 19th century.
At the Cayman Island Turtle Farm you can see turtles in various stages of growth, and some can be picked up from the tanks -- a real treat for children and adults.
The tiny village of Hell is little more than a patch of incredibly jagged rock formations called ironshore. The big attraction here are the small post office and a nearby gift shop, where you can get cards and letters postmarked from Hell.
Formerly known as the West Bay Pink House, Old Homestead is probably the most photographed home in Grand Cayman. The pink-and-white Caymanian cottage was built in 1912 of wattle and daub around an ironwood frame.
Built in 1780, Pedtro St. James Castle is Cayman's oldest stone structure and the only remaining late-18th-century residence on the island. The buildings are surrounded by 8 acres of natural parks and woodlands. You can stroll through landscaping of native Caymanian flora and experience one of the most spectacular views on the island from atop the dramatic Great Pedro Bluff.
Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park is a 65-acre wilderness preserve that showcases a wide range of indigenous and nonindigenous tropical vegetation.

Casa de Campo International Tourist Port (Muelle Turístico Internacional Casa de Campo) : Over the last century, The Port of La Romana (located on the West Bank of La Romana River or Rio Dulce) has been utilized primarily for the docking of commercial ships, primarily for the transport of sugar and molasses. Upon exceeding the capacity of its port, the Central Romana Corporation built its new tourism focused port on the east side of the river. The platform on the western bank was renovated and the river channel was dredged to a depth of 10.50 metres (34.4 ft).
Inaugurated with the arrival of the vessel Costa Marina on December 2002, the Central Romana Corporation invested US$12 million to extend the existing port by over 40,000 square metres (430,000 sq ft). The port is a modern platform and harbor terminal, with a capacity for two large modern cruise ships.
Today the new facilities boast two docking platforms (East Dock: 255 metres (837 ft) in length, West Dock: 225 metres (738 ft) in length), a 1,000 square metres (11,000 sq ft) passenger terminal and parking facilities which accommodate 24 buses.
