About Hong Kong (Victoria Harbor)
The most striking thing about Hong Kong is its pervasive mix of old and new. With ramshackle apartment buildings flanked by uber-modern high-rises, a rickety street-level tram clanking by above a state-of-the-art subway system, and wheelbarrows being pushed through the streets alongside Rolls-Royces, Hong Kong is a study in contrasts that constantly surprises. Add the former British colony's strange brew of Asian and Western cultures to this endless series of odd contradictions and one thing's for certain: this is a place you'll never get tired of exploring.
Hong Kong (Victoria Harbor) Attractions
High above Hong Kong Island on the 'back of the Dragon', Victoria Peak is Hong Kong's premier visitor attraction, providing magnificent harbour and city views. Arriving late afternoon enables you to experience the dazzling panorama of Hong Kong Island, the harbour, Kowloon and the hills beyond. Later, you can thrill to the neon-dotted skyline by night. What's more, The Peak offers visitors a multitude of fantastic entertainment, dining and shopping options. On the Come Horseracing Tour you'll quickly learn that horseracing is not just a sport in Hong Kong. It's a passion. It's followed by millions of people. Museum of History - The museum's extensive collection of archaeological finds and historical photographs provides an excellent introduction to Hong Kong's history.Cultural Center/Space Museum/Museum of Art - The Cultural Center is the city's newest performing arts venue. The Space Museum's dome, where Omnimax shows and astronomy exhibits are featured, is nearby. Adjacent is the Museum of Art.Stanley Market - Located on the south side of Hong Kong, this open-air market on the is a favorite with residents and visitors alike for browsing and finding bargains in designer jeans, fashions, leather, porcelain, linens and bedding.Jade Market - This specialty market features some 450 stalls. Here you can find jade items of every form, quality and price.Bird Garden and Flower Market - The charming Chinese-style garden on Yuen Po Street (Kowloon) includes some 70 songbird stalls as well as courtyards and moon gates. Next door, the colorful Flower Market sells everything from Dutch tulips to exotic orchids.

About Halong Bay
Halong Bay is located on the northern coast of Vietnam. The spectacular bay features thousands of limestone islands and rocks rising from tranquil turquoise waters and offers some of the most beautiful scenery in Asia. According to legend, a great dragon, twisting and thrashing his way into the sea, gouged out the seascapes of Halong Bay. The result is pure fantasy.
Halong Bay Attractions
Visitors can serenely sail through the exotic bay, swim in the clear waters or explore the caves and grottoes on the larger islands. Theres not much to do here other than admire the views. Halong Bay has inspired poets for centuries and is an essential part of a visit to Northern Vietnam and makes a delightful and romantic little trip.

About Da Nang
Da Nang is Vietnam's fourth largest city. Spectacular sights include the Cham Museum, with its stunning collection of Cham art and sculptures; the Marble Mountains and famous China Beach; and the ancient city of Hoi An.
Da Nang Attractions
The centrally located city is also not far from other significant historic and cultural attractions including the ancient city of An Nasiriyah, which is about an hour away by car, and features some of the oldest surviving structures in the region.
To the south of the Da Nang is the chain of Marble Mountains, five large hills that locals believed represented the five elements including Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. There are numerous legends about gold hidden with the caves that are within the hills, but these are said to be protected by traps.Cao Dai Temple - For the more than 20,000 Cao Dai in Vietnam, this temple is the sect's centerpiece. As in all Cao Dai temples, above the main altar is the image of the Giant Eye, which is the symbol of Cao Daism. Most interesting is a sign which says "Van Giao Nhat Ly," meaning that all religions have the same purpose.Da Nang Cathedral - Built in 1923 by the French in pink sandstone with a single spire, the church serves Da Nang's Catholic community.Ho Chi Minh Museum - The museum features a replica of Ho's house in Hanoi as well as a collection of various weaponry of the Vietnam War.
Da Nang Activities
The sea is good for swimming all year round especially in summer from May to August because of the mild wave, the water temperature and the safeguard team that works from 5am to 8pm every day to ensure safety for tourists. Other activities here are fishing, water-skiing, diving and yacht race. Most beaches are easily accessible by means of transport.

About Sihanoukville
Cambodia is best known as the occasional side trip to Angkor Wat, the famous temple in northern Cambodia, on your way to or from Thailand. But all that is changing with the revitalization of Sihanoukville, Cambodia's one and only beach resort. Located in the south, it's part resort, part backpacker hangout, part working port and all big city.
Sihanoukville Attractions
About 18 km from downtown Sihanoukville is Ream National Park, which offers both boat and safari tours of its 21,000 hectares of land and marine habitat. I know what you're saying - heck, that's a lot of hectares. But it's well worth the trip with some 155 species represented including the rare mouse deer and pangolin and the very rare freshwater white dolphin, which only comes around from December through February.

About Singapore
At first glance, this diamond-shaped island just off the coast of Malaysia gleams with modernism and commercialism, making it seem more Western than Eastern. But as you continue to discover the city-state, you'll uncover the eclectic mix of cultures, religions, ancient treasures and British colonial impressions that give rise to a unique Singaporean identity. The cultural fusion is perhaps best expressed in Singapore's unofficial language, Singlish, a unique patois of English, Chinese and Malay.
Singapore Attractions
Thian Hock Keng, the "Temple of Heavenly Bliss," is one of the oldest Chinese temples in Singapore. What was originally a makeshift altar became a full-blown temple in 1841, and it still shines today with red and black lacquer and gold gilt. The shrine honors Ma Po Cho, the Patron Goddess of Sailors, but it also recognizes the Protector of Life, the God of War, the Goddess of Mercy and the Sun and Moon Gods through intricate carvings and statues.

About Penang
Gorgeous beaches. Abundant culture. Rich history. Excellent food. Truly, there is more to see and experience in the "Pearl of the Orient" than one person can possibly handle, but we still think you'll like it. One of the most multicultural cities in all of Asia, Penang is like a concentrated version of the entire continent, while at the same time it maintains an identity all its own.
Penang Attractions
Penang invites you to get lost (figuratively) in the architectural wonderland of George Town, which doubles as the state's capital city and its Chinese quarter. From there, the massive and opulent Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion is truly something to marvel over. Beach-lovers simply have to kick it for an hour or two on one of the many north coast beaches. And make sure you don't leave without checking out Malaysia's largest Buddhist temple. Finally, if you still have any energy left, there are always the monkey-ridden, 70-acre Botanical Gardens.

About Galle
Built by the Dutch beginning in 1663, the 36-hectare Fort occupies most of the promontory that forms the older part of Galle. Described by the notoriously hard-to-please Paul Theroux as being ‘garlanded with red hibiscus and smelling of the palm-scented ocean, ’ the Fort is an amazing collection of structures and culture dating back through the centuries. Just wandering the streets at random yields one architectural surprise after another. And be sure to take in the dramatic views of town and ocean from the encircling walls. Unesco has recognized Fort as a World Heritage Site.

About Doha
A rocky, low-lying desert peninsula reaching into the Gulf, Qatar is a hard-scrabble land that begs for water. But under the surface, there´s wealth aplenty in enormous oil and natural gas fields. Qatar´s rulers are the immensely powerful and numerous Al Thani family, who arrived from Central Arabia in the 1700´s.
Doha Activities
Al-Corniche - The highlight of Doha is unquestionably the Corniche. Doha Bay was carefully constructed with landfill to make an attractive crescent, along which runs a charming area of shaded footpaths, cycling tracks, the Al-Bandar restaurant complex, the famous Pearl Monument, moored dhows, a park and enchanting views.
Heritage House - Formerly an ethnographic museum, this restored Heritage Museum, was built in 1935 and offers the best view of the badghir (wind tower). It is no longer officially open to the public, however, the friendly Qatari employees of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture who now occupy the building are sure to let you in, if you express an interest.
Doha Fort - Built during the Turkish occupation in the 19th century, the interior of this fort consists of a large, paved courtyard, which acts as an impromptu forum for local sheyba (old men) to chew over the day's problems. The exhibits are somewhat neglected, but while Qatar National Museum remains closed for renovation, this is the only opportunity for visitors to view a wide range of traditional Qatari activities, such as weaving, woodcarving, modern paintings and other local crafts.

About Dubai
Dubai is one of the few cities in the world that has undergone such a rapid transformation - from a humble beginning as a pearl-diving centre - to one of the fastest growing cities on earth. Dubai today is a tourism, trade and logistics hub and has earned itself the reputation of being the ‘gateway between the east and the west.’ It is also considered as the dynamic nucleus of the Arabian Gulf region.

About Salalah
Salalah is the capital of Dhofar Province, which is the southern region of the Sultanate of Oman. Green areas scattered across town give the city a tropical atmosphere and have earned it the name "Garden City." It is a laid-back place with a few resort hotels dotting the sandy seashore.
Salalah Attractions
Along the coast lie miles of deserted beaches, bordered by a brilliant blue sea. Other attractions around the countryside include ancient forts, archaeological sites, fishing villages and the tombs of prophets. But it is mainly the rugged landscape and the beaches that appeal to visitors with a penchant for unspoiled destinations. Indeed, Salalah has to be appreciated as an off-the-beaten-track location and for the uniqueness that marks the Dhofar region.

About Safaga
The port city of Safaga is located on the western flank of the Red Sea, across from the shores of Saudi Arabia. The dusty streets are for the most part quiet, save for the occasional truck or bus. Diving enthusiasts come to the few resort hotels located north of Safaga to enjoy one of the world's best and relatively unspoiled locations for underwater exploration. Their number is steadily increasing. As a result, Safaga’s facilities are gradually improving. For cruise vessels, Safaga serves as the starting point for excursions to Luxor, which ranks among the most important destinations in Egypt. Otherwise, Safaga itself has very little to offer and guests not going to Luxor will find limited activities to keep them busy in this port.
Safaga Activities
A small sand island in the middle of the bay of Safaga, Tobia is an ideal spot to spend a day at sea. All hotels, diving and aqua centres in Safaga offer a half-day or full day excursion to the island. The full day excursion includes also lunch on board, in addition to full snorkelling equipment.
Mons Claudianus historical site is reachable by organised excursions that include also a stop at a Bedouin camp to have a closer look at their culture and sample their food and excellent tea. The excursion is done normally on a half-day basis.

About Sharm el Sheik
The port and town of Sharm-el-Sheikh lies near the southernmost tip of the Sinai Peninsula where the Straits of Tiran meet the Gulf of Aqaba. With its strategic position, the Sinai posed a desirable target for various rulers over the centuries. Sharm-el-Sheikh was initially developed by the Israelis during the Sinai occupation. Na'ama Bay, a short drive from the port, has grown from virtually nothing into a sizeable resort since the early 1980s. Between the two towns a string of hotels line a once-untouched coastline. Resort hotels offer great opportunities for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Glass bottom boat trips are available for those preferring to view the exotic marine life of the Red Sea without getting their feet wet.

About Aqaba
Aqaba is Jordan's only port and of tremendous importance to the country's economy. Countless trucks ply the route between Aqaba and the capital Amman, a journey of some 220 miles. With stark mountains rising in the background, Aqaba enjoys an attractive setting. For cruise vessels, the port provides the gateway for excursions to famed Petra and the spectacular desert and mountain region of Wadi Rum. Aqaba itself offers a string of shops, hotels and restaurants. Some recent archaeological discoveries in the center of town are thought to be the remains of the oldest church in the world, dating from the late 3rd century. Aqaba is also popular with diving enthusiasts who appreciate the great variety of marine life that abounds in the waters of the Red Sea.
Aqaba Attractions
Petra, the area's major attraction, lies 70 miles from the port. The remains of this once magnificent city date to the 3rd century BC when Nabataeans carved elaborate buildings out of solid rock. Abandoned and forgotten for centuries, the rose-red City of Petra was rediscovered in the 1800s. Excavations did not get underway until a hundred years later; the central section was unearthed after 1958. Today the site is recognized as one of the most spectacular attractions in the Middle East - a must-see for any visitor to this area.

About Monemvasia
Often called the "Gibraltar of Greece", the stone fortress-town of Monemvaisa rises from the sea, connected to the mainland by a man-made causeway. The most important Byzantine trading post for many centuries, Monemvasia was captured and recaptured by the Venetians and the Turks until the Greek uprising of 1821.

About Athens (Piraeus)
Piraeus is the port of Athens. Serving as the gateway to the past and civilization as we know it, Athens is far more than the Acropolis. Nowhere on earth are mans past accomplishments more dramatically displayed as a backdrop to a modern metropolis. Spend time exploring ancient ruins, viewing incalculable treasures or just relax as another day evolves in the cradle of civilization.
Athens (Piraeus) Attractions
No visit to Athens would be complete without a visit to the Acropolis. There you'll find the Parthenon, the largest building in the Acropolis and one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights. It was built as a temple to Athena and is still a remarkable structure today.
Athens (Piraeus) Activities
Visit Plaka, the old neighborhood of Athens. Explore the narrow streets and alleys, single-story houses, neoclassical villas, taverns and many tourist shops.
Experience the traditional flea market of Monastiraki, the neighborhood next to Plaka.
Explore the National Archaeological Museum, home to a formidable collection of the world's antiquities.
Pay a visit to ancient Agora, ancient site of the religious and political heart of Athens.
The Archaeological Museum is known to have the finest collection of Greek art in the world. Exhibits include the sensational finds from the excavations at Mycenae and the remarkably well preserved frescoes from a 3,000-year-old civilization discovered at Akrotiri on the island of Santorini. There are also classical statuary, pottery, stone carvings and jewelry from excavations throughout Greece.
The Benaki Museum has recently undergone thorough modernization. Its three floors house more than 30,000 items, all illustrating the character of the Greek world.
Located near Kolonaki, the Goulandris Museum features a fantastic collection of Cycladic and ancient art spanning 5,000 years. The exhibits were assembled by ship owner Nikolaos P. Goulandris. Its treasures include many of the slim marble figurines that fascinated artists like Picasso and Modigliani.
Mount Lycabettus, Athens' highest hill, is only a 10-minute walk from Syntagma Square. It borders the fashionable Kolonaki residential area. A steeply inclined funicular climbs to the summit, which is crowned by a small, white chapel. Pollution permitting, the view from Mount Lycabettus is the finest in Athens.
Plaka stretches east from the Agora, this lovely quarter, with winding alleys, neo-classical buildings, whitewashed, bougainvillea-framed houses and tiny churches, is worth your exploration.
Agios Eleftherios is a 12th-century Byzantine church and Athens' former cathedral is known for the fanciful figures and zodiac signs that adorn its walls.
