Drive by bus through Castries, Cul de Sac, the Roseau banana plantations, and the fishing villages of Anse-La-Raye and Canaries. Then board a boat for a relaxing ride back down the scenic coastline to Anse Cochon for swimming in beautiful crystal-clear waters. Hike Soufrière, home of St. Lucia's most famous landmark, the towering Pitons, a set of primeval twin peaks topping 2,000 feet. Then take a relaxing dip in one of the warm sulfuric pools full of special nutrients.
Mayreau is the smallest (approx. 1.5 sq. miles) inhabited Grenadines with a population of approximately 300, all living in the village on the south-west side of the island. There is a trail from Saltwhistle Bay to the village that is currently being improved. The village boasts four bars and restaurants and colorful local rum shops with domino tournaments and pool tables.

A sailboat and motor boat is available to charter to the nearby Tobago cays for some of the best diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean. Snorkeling equipment is available for rent. Hiking trails abound throughout the island with spectacular views of the neighboring Grenadines.
Exploring the islands of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique is only a click away. There are a variety of tours offered by local operators many of which can be booked online or through your travel agent or hotel. Must see trips visit various attractions including The Grand Etang Forest Reserve and Lake, Waterfalls, Spice Estates and Plantation Houses. A visit to a Rum Distillery is a must to see how the Sugar Cane juice is turned into Rum, in many cases using the original technology and equipment from days gone by.

Great Harbour is the main anchorage on Jost Van Dyke and the center for nightlife on this beautiful island. The holding for anchors in Great Harbour can be tricky and now there are some mooring balls to make life easier. Great Harbour has the island’s police station and customs and immigration office. It’s “main road” is just a sandy strip. A small beach, dotted with dinghy docks, runs the length of the bay.
