This port of call is the door to the inner beauty of Costa Rica,

City planners have taken great care to blend the "new" Huatulco into its natural setting, and in fact most of the surrounding area has been set aside as a nature reserve.
Huatulco Attractions
Visit one of the Bays of Huatulco. There are nine individual bays along the coast, some of which are accessible only by boat. A local guide can show you the best spots for snorkeling and fishing, or if you'd like to see more than one bay, take a guided tour by motorized catamaran.
Huatulco Activities
Go on a Bird-Watching Eco Tour along the Copalita River. The forest is filled with an incredible array of wildlife including iguanas and deer, spectacular flora and fauna, and even precious mahogany trees.
Take a scenic drive through the bays of Chahue and Conejos, along the Copalita River and to the small town of La Crucecita.
Explore the area on an off-road SUV adventure or comb the beaches on horseback.
Nature is undoubtedly Manzanillo's best attraction. Its twin bays, Manzanillo and Santiago, where crystal blue waters lap the black and gold volcanic sand, have caught outsiders eyes since Cortes conquered Mexico. Manzanillo also has significant rail connections to the interior.

SCUBA divers will love Manzanillo - there are lots places to have a good underwater diving experience without the need to boat out anywhere. Local firms cater for all skill and experience levels, and if you want some proper classes as a foundation to getting certified, you can do this as well!
There are several lagoons along the coast which are excellent places to go bird watching.
Alongside the Playa Azul, and Playa Las Brisas you'll find a selection of nice seafood restaurants in open air, next to the Pacific Ocean. You can enjoy great seafood here while watching and listening to the sound of the mighty Pacific, as it delivers its huge waves onto the beach just a couple of dozen yards away.
La Paz means "peace" in Spanish, and that's exactly what you'll feel when visiting this provincial Mexican town.
