World Navigator was conceived with the sensibilities of an explorer - one who believes the world is the best experienced up close, while still leaving the destination untouched. This vessel realizes the possibilities of environmental stewardship with a propeller-less hybrid propulsion system engineered by Rolls-Royce and anchor-less positioning, both designed to leave the marine environment undisturbed.
This is how you can best enjoy the world and protect it for others. And as the expedition-style World Navigator quietly nestles into the amazing, remote and rugged locations on your itinerary, you'll wonder why anyone would roam any other way.

About At Sea
Relax and enjoy your vacation onboard your ship. You can do as much or as little as you want.
ABERDEEN -- Scotland's third-largest city (pop. 187,000) is characterized by buildings of beautiful white granite. Set beside the North Sea, Aberdeen is both a university town and the capital of the Scottish oil boom. It is also one of Scotland's largest seaside resorts (though its appeal is confined to those who like their water well-chilled). The city's attractions encompass the 15th-century St. Machar's Cathedral, the Mercat Cross of 1686 (a impressive structure), the 14th-century Brig o' Balgownie (Scotland's oldest bridge) and the Winter Garden (Europe's largest indoor garden). Old
Aberdeen, the students' quarter of the city, merits a visit; Stroll the campuses of the two ancient universities, King's College (founded 1495) and Marischal College (founded 1500) -- both are now combined as the University of Aberdeen. Aberdeen is excellent as a base for touring the nearby castles (Dunnotar, Slains and Crathes) and whiskey distilleries (Glenfiddich, Glenlivet and Speyside Cooperage). Other sites include Balmoral Castle (the Royal Family's summer residence) and Braemar Castle, which hosts the largest Highland games every
With its famous cathedral, Stavanger holds a special place in the heart of most Norwegians. For it was here that the country was first united by the Viking king Harald Harfagre. Modern day Stavanger is the major center of Norways important oil industry and although partly damaged during World War II, much of old Stavanger remains intact. A relaxing stroll along Stavangers narrow, cobblestone streets reveal brightly painted houses and colorful flowers.

Vik Attractions
A number of sites in the area, including ancient Borgund Hopperstand, Undredal Kaupanger and Umes, have been declared monuments of great historical interest by Unesco. The area features a number of fascinating museums and the local population defend their heritage with enthusiasm. As well as beautifully preserved ancient churches the area also exhibits evidence of former pagan worship.
The coastal town of Alesund is the commercial capital of the More og Romsdal district. But more important, it is noted for its characteristic Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) buildings, which some claim make Alesund one of the most beautiful towns in Norway. Today, narrow streets are crammed with buildings topped with turrets, spires and gables that bear decorations of dragonheads and curlicues. As one of the few remaining Art Nouveau towns in the world, in 1998 Alesund was awarded the coveted Houens National Memorial Prize for the preservation of its unique architecture.
Alesund Activities
Atlantic Sea Park - Located about two miles west of Ålesund, this unique Sea Park is built into a large stretch of coastal area with fishing stands, hiking trails, bathing sites and outstanding diving venues. It features large aquariums teeming with ocean life from up and down the Atlantic. Fish feeding is daily at 1:00 p.m.
Ålesund Museum - The exhibits at this museum concentrate on the history of sealing, fishing, shipping, the fire of 1904, the German occupation during World War II and the town's distinctive Jugendstil architecture.
Ålesund Church - The church was built in 1909 in Norman style. It boasts splendid frescoes and beautiful stained-glass windows. The gable windows behind the organ were an inauguration gift from the German Emperor Wilhelm II.
Municipal ParkLocally known as Byparken, it features a statue of Rollo, which was presented to the people of Ålesund from the city of Rouen in 1911. The park also has a monument dedicated to Kaiser Wilhelm II who made major contributions to the rebuilding of Ålesund after the Great Fire in 1904.
The capital of the Arctic is a lively and beautiful city packed with culture and history, and surrounded by mountains, fjords and islands.
It is the largest urban area in Northern Norway and the second largest north of the Arctic Circle in Sápmi (following Murmansk). Most of Tromsø, including the city centre, is located on the island of Tromsøya, 350 kilometres (217 mi) north of the Arctic Circle. Substantial parts of the urban area are also situated on the mainland to the east, and on parts of Kvaløya—a large island to the west. Tromsøya is connected to the mainland by the Tromsø Bridge and the Tromsøysund Tunnel, and to the island of Kvaløya by the Sandnessund Bridge. The city is warmer than most other places located on the same latitude, due to the warming effect of the Gulf Stream.
The city centre of Tromsø contains the highest number of old wooden houses in Northern Norway, the oldest house dating from 1789. The Arctic Cathedral, a modern church from 1965, is probably the most famous landmark in Tromsø. The city is a cultural centre for its region, with several festivals taking place in the summer. Some of Norway's best-known musicians, Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge of the electronica duo Röyksopp and Lene Marlin grew up and started their careers in Tromsø. Noted electronic musician Geir Jenssen also hails from Tromsø.
