Attractions

Make the trek to the Convento de Penha, atop the Morro de Penha. The climb is worth every step, because once you reach the top, you'll be taking in a spectacular view of the entire city, islands, and bay. You'll feel on top of the world!

Adventures

Being such a massive beach town, water sports dominate the scene. You can swim, bodysurf, parasail, scuba dive, and more. But if staying dry is more to your liking, there's always fun beach activities like volleyball and soccer. If you can beat the locals, then you know you're good.

Shopping

The shops in town open from 10-8, but close between 2 to 4 for siesta, when the locals eat, nap, or just relax. Most of the places in Vitoria, including museums, are closed on Mondays. You won't find many gift shops for tourists, but you will discover a lot of cool shops that the locals visit daily. Everyone buys bread fresh in the morning, so give it a try - it's delicious!

Currency

The local currency is the Brazilian Real.
