When it opened in 1931, the American Institute for Steel Construction named the bridge the 'Most Beautiful Steel Arch'. See more than a century's worth of fire-fighting history at the Chief John T. Brennan Fire Museum in Bayonne, New Jersey. First used in 1870, the firehouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
