Activities

Tour Fort Clatsop, a replica of the fort depicted in William Clark's journal. Visit the Maritime Museum, which houses some of the region's prized artifacts. Visit Mount St. Helens and see the crater, lava dome and blast zone of this infamous volcano. Go for a bike ride at Fort Stevens. You'll see Battery Russell, dating back to the early 20th century, with its panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean; Cape Disappointment Light House and the Washington State shoreline. While you're there, look for the wreck of the Peter Iredale, an English ship that ran aground in 1906.
